Roysambu rental blocks are often four, five or more floors high, and tenants on the upper floors rarely want to come down every time a visitor or delivery rider arrives. So the gate is left open, or the caretaker lets in anyone who mentions a name.

Intercom installation in Roysambu gives every tenant a button at the gate and a handset at home. The visitor presses the unit number, the tenant answers, and if they are expecting the person they press a button to release the pedestrian gate. Video intercoms let tenants see the visitor first, which many landlords now offer as a selling point.

Nerpax plans the cabling up the stairwells, supplies and installs the gate panel, handsets or monitors and electric lock, and tests each unit. We also install video intercoms for individual homes and offices along Thika Road.

Serving Roysambu

Roysambu lies right on the Thika Superhighway, with Thika Road Mall and Zimmerman nearby and a steady rise of mid-rise apartments and student rentals. Tight plots and many tenants make access control, video intercoms and CCTV on every entrance a priority for landlords. Shops and offices along the highway service lane need clear cameras, alarm systems and UPS backup for tills and routers. Safe wiring with good earthing protects busy buildings. Nerpax Systems serves Roysambu with supply, installation and delivery.

Intercom Installation in Roysambu: FAQs

How many units can one intercom system serve?

Systems range from a handful of units to large blocks with dozens or more. Larger buildings typically use a digital or IP system with a directory panel at the gate. We recommend the system type based on your unit count and any plans to add more units.

Can tenants still get in if the intercom fails or power is off?

We fit a backup power supply for the lock and intercom where possible, and the pedestrian gate always has a key or code override. The caretaker can also open the gate manually. We design the system so a fault never locks tenants out.
